For me, getting lost within the pages of the past is the perfect pastime. The fascination of modern historical scholarship is easily equalled by the pleasure I find in collecting old books. I am also a confirmed ‘book sniffer’ too!
I am working on a PhD researching Anglo-Saxon childhood with the University of Birmingham.
I teach adult leisure learning courses in history that range from the Iron Age to the Tudors and I also offer talks and lectures for groups.
With regard to booking me for talks/lectures or booking onto talks or any further information on my leisure learning courses please contact me via email: learninghistory@dustypages.org
I believe I’ve found a kindred soul! I have some 500 books, a few of them very old. I can only hope and pray I have enough time to read them all before I transition into another life. If not, maybe I can take them with me. Road trips aren’t fund without something to read!
Wow! Lovely to meet you, I feel exactly the same regarding such a short life and so much to read!! Let us hope we can journey on with our dusty pages 😊😊
